Silk Artist and Graphic Designer
Living by the ocean in New England, Paula has always
drawn inspiration from nature and her surroundings. She
considers herself fortunate to have had great mentors
who taught her art techniques and business skills. Paula
worked as an artists assistant in the early 90's, doing
wholesale trade shows in NY, and filling orders for custom
silk lamp shades and pillows. Later, sisters Paula and
Pamela worked from a humble garage studio,
transforming white silk into wearable art and accessories.
As “Originals on Silk", they sold their art at craft shows
throughout New England.

Paula now works as a graphic designer at a university, and enjoys
time with her husband and 3 kids. Out of her home studio in
Portsmouth, RI, she still finds time to creates these silk art treasures.
